Super Bowl to show 3-D commercials
This year's Super Bowl (February 1) will be showing a few 3-D ads.
"Monsters vs. Aliens," a new movie opening in March, will be showing its trailer via a 3-D.
Pepsi's SoBe Lifewater will air a 60-second commercial in 3-D and Intel and NBC, the station airing the Super Bowl, will also air commercials during in 3D.
The TV show "Chuck," will also make use of the 3-D technology the next day on February 2, with an episode called "Don't Chuck Your Glasses." So save the 3-D glasses for that. Don't tear 'em up if your team loses.
Intel will be distributing over 125 million pairs of 3-D glasses, and will be distributed among 25,000 SoBe Lifewater displays in grocery stores, drug stores and other retail venues.
