How do they celebrate New Year's Day in Milwaukee? They go jump in a lake -- a freezing lake or they fly a kite.
Milwaukee's lakefront was the scene for the Polar Bear Plunge and the Cool Fool Kite Fest.
The lake plunge has been going on for about 100 years. The kite fest, is in its 22nd year.
Close to 2,000 people plunged into the water yesterday. Here is some video.

they are crazy i wont even get in my pool in florida until the temp is least 80. happy new year!
