Hackers unlock the iPhone from AT&T's grasp

A group of hackers called iPhone Dev Team have unlocked the iPhone, allowing it to be used by any cell phone network. Now the phone is not tied to AT&T and owners can use the phone with the carrier of their choice.

The app is called Yellowsn0w and is free to download. Apparently this is different than "jailbreaking."
