Top money-maker concerts of 2008
Madonna's "Sticky & Sweet" tour was the top-grossing concert tour in North America in 2008. The tour took in $105.3 million in ticket sales according to Pollstar, a concert-industry trade magazine.
Celine Dion was second with $94 million, the Eagles were number three with $73.4 million.
The rest of the top 10:
4: Kenny Chesney - $72.2 million
5: Bon Jovi - $70.4 million
6: Bruce Springsteen/E Street Band - $59.8 million
7: Neil Diamond - $59.8 million
8: Rascal Flatts - $55.8 million
9: The Police - $48.00 million
10: Tina Turner (right) - $47.7 million
There's a trend here. The older acts are bringing in the crowds. My fav was Tina. :)
